Q1: What is a personal chef?
A1: A personal chef is someone (like me) who comes over to your home or a venue of your choice (there must be a kitchen there though) and prepares you and your guests a beautiful top-grade meal.
Q2: What do you mean by home-style Thai dishes?
A2: Home-style means the kind of lovingly prepared dishes we Thais would eat home. There is no MSG, no additives, and lots of love.
Q3: Why not just eat at a restaurant?
A3: You sure can and I can also recommend you some really good Thai restaurants* but by having your very own personal Thai chef prepare your meal in the comfort of your own home you save on transportation cost, there is no mark up on drinks, and you get to witness your meal being prepared and see the ingredients used. Also not many restaurants would let you in on their recipes like Your Thai Chef does.
* Your Thai Chef recommends Amazing Thai (36 Lavender Hill, London SW11 5RL)
Q4: Who cleans up?
A4: I bring my own cooking equipment but anything of yours that I use during the cooking process I will wash up. Your kitchen will be clean and tidy when I leave.
Q5: Do you charge for travelling to my home?
A5: If your venue is not more than ten miles from SW4 (YTC's HQ) then there is no charge. If it is more than that distance then there will be a charge of £2 per mile.
Q6: When does the chef turn up?
A6: Normally two hours prior to the event but this time may vary depending on the dishes ordered and number of diners.
Q7: What is your booking policy?
A7: It is advisable to book at least one week in advance. A 20% deposit is required to confirm your booking. Please see my booking policy for details.
Q8: What is your payment policy?
A8: Payment to be made on the night of your event.
Q9: Can you make my food not too spicy?
A9: Please let me know prior to the event how spicy you like your dishes to be.
